Yesterday afternoon, volunteer Rich Combs arrived to drive the RV and help in myriad other ways. We spent much of yesterday after he arrived orienting him about all things related to both the support RV and the walk.

This morning Rich drove me forward on I-40 to my starting point, some 20 miles east of Ludlow CA on Interstate 40 and I walked eight miles, loosely accompanied by Rich and the support RV, to the next exit.
