DAY 28 was another long, relatively flat, very pretty in a desert sort of way, 10 mile walk. At about 9+ miles, I reached an exit on I-40 where a side road, also historic Route 66, branches off to the north. I finished at a Chevron station not far from the exit for another 10 mile day.
